Kibor Rates See Minor Adjustments Across Tenors

Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan released the latest Karachi Interbank Offered Rates (KIBOR) for various tenors on January 8, 2026, showing slight adjustments in both bid and offer rates across different periods.

The data reveals that the 1-week and 2-week tenors remained identical, with bid rates at 10.29 and offer rates at 10.79. A similar trend is observed in the 1-month tenor, with the bid rate at 10.20 and the offer rate at 10.70.

The 3-month tenor saw a bid rate of 10.17 and an offer rate of 10.42, while the 6-month tenor had a bid rate of 10.18 and an offer rate of 10.43. These rates reflect minor fluctuations compared to previous data.

The 9-month tenor was marked by a bid rate of 10.13 and an offer rate of 10.63. In the 1-year tenor, the bid rate registered at 10.14, with the offer rate at 10.64.

The KIBOR rates serve as a benchmark for lending rates in the country's financial system and are closely monitored by financial institutions and market participants.
