Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan has released the latest Karachi Interbank Offered Rates (KIBOR), reflecting an upward trend across various tenors. The rates, which are a key benchmark for lending and borrowing, have been adjusted for periods ranging from one week to one year.
According to State Bank of Pakistan, the one-week tenor has a bid rate of 10.39 and an offer rate of 10.89. The two-week tenor shows a bid of 10.41 and an offer of 10.91. The one-month rates are 10.60 for bids and 11.10 for offers. The three-month tenor is set at a bid of 11.24 and an offer of 11.49. For the six-month period, the bid is 11.38 and the offer is 11.63. The nine-month rates stand at 11.48 for bids and 11.98 for offers, while the one-year tenor has a bid rate of 11.44 and an offer rate of 11.94.
These adjustments in KIBOR are closely watched by financial institutions and businesses, as they play a crucial role in determining the cost of borrowing in the interbank market.
