A young laborer died of accidental electrocution in the town of War, Ghora Bari sub-district of Thatta district, Sindh, Pakistan. The laborer, identified as Fateh Ali Brohi, was unloading blocks from a truck when the vehicle accidentally touched 11,000-volt power lines with its body.
The electric current passed through the truck and into Brohi, killing him instantly. He was immediately taken to the War Rural Health Center, but medical staff pronounced him dead on arrival.
Locals have demanded a thorough investigation into the incident and are urging authorities to repair dangerous, unprotected power lines to prevent similar incidents in the future. They emphasized the need for immediate action to address the issue of dangerous infrastructure in the area and improve safety.
