ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Shazia Atta Marri said Wednesday that the government will provide relief to people in the upcoming budget.

Talking to reporters in Islamabad, she said 28 billion rupees are being provided to people through Benazir Income Support Programme. She said that six million people had recently been included in ambit of the BISP to curtail poverty.

Marri said two thousand rupees are being given to those whose monthly income is less than Rs40,000. She said the Prime Minister had taken inputs from people affiliated with different sectors for betterment of economy. Marri said Imran Khan after being ousted from power was misguiding people and giving statements against the country. She said the PTI government imposed restriction on media and also made hollow claims, but did nothing for the welfare of masses.
