Married woman allegedly sold by her husband

LARKANA: A married woman was allegedly sold by her husband and both were produced before the court of Civil and Consumer Court Judge here on Saturday.

 

According to details, Taluka police station cops produced married woman Sumera alias Gudi and her husband Mor Chandio, resident of village Yousif Chandio, before the court and both were granted to police remand for two days and will be produced again on Monday before the same court.

 

Gudi was sent to the women police station whereas her husband Mor was sent to Taluka police station. Brother of the woman Suleman Jagirani told newsmen that his sister was married four years ago with Mor Chandio, a resident of Badah. He alleged that three days ago, the nikah of his married sister was made with a man of Shikarpur against payment of Rs300,000 by her husband with her fake name.

 

He said when they came to know about this highhandedness they filed an application in the court and police produced both of them before the court today. He appealed to relevant higher authorities for provision of justice.
