Marriyum calls for concerted efforts to overcome malnutrition

Islamabad, April 24, 2018 (PPI-OT): Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that “Stunting and malnutrition” is a big problem, therefore, parliamentarians should have complete knowledge of the data within their constituencies to cope with these issues. She was addressing the launching ceremony of campaign titled “Umeed Se Aagey” (A Mother and Child Wellness Campaign) in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The Minister of State for Information said the data of malnutrition is very important and framing of policy to overcome the challenge carries equal important. Highlighting the role of media in preventing malnutrition and stunting, she said that Radio Pakistan, PTV and social media can play a pivotal role in achieving the desired results. Marriyum Aurangzeb said, after carrying out the Census, now data is available to the government for making out policy.
