Authorities on Friday claimed to have confiscated a significant cache of smuggled goods and non-custom-paid vehicles valued at approximately Rs 121.6 million in a major anti-smuggling crackdown conducted by the Collectorate of Enforcement Quetta.

The successful operation, executed at Rakhni, was a collaborative effort involving personnel from FC North and the Loralai Police. The raid was prompted by credible intelligence reports and followed directives for stricter measures against illicit trade.

The haul included nine Non-Custom-Paid (NCP) vehicles. In addition to the vehicles, officials impounded a substantial quantity of contraband merchandise, including assorted brands of cigarettes, gutka, Chinese salt, and betel nuts.

All confiscated items and vehicles have been taken into official custody. Formal legal proceedings have been initiated against the responsible parties under the provisions of the Customs Act, 1969, as further investigations into the smuggling network continue.

In a statement, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to enforcing stringent actions against smuggling, illegal trade, and the use of NCP vehicles across the country.
