The wife of Mirpurkhas Mayor Abdul Rauf Ghori passed away today after a prolonged illness. A large number of provincial ministers, assembly members, and prominent city figures gathered for her last rites.
According to details, the mayor’s wife passed away at a private hospital where she had been undergoing treatment for several months.
Her funeral prayer was offered at Gulshan-e-Rahmat Housing Scheme, led by Mufti Sharif Saeedi.
People from all walks of life attended the somber occasion, including Provincial Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Provincial Advisor Junaid Buland, and MPA Hari Ram Kishori Lal.
The gathering also included numerous local government officials, such as Town Chairman Wali Muhammad Narejo and various UC Chairmen. Professionals and civil society representatives of the city, including Press Club President Nazir Panhwar, lawyers from the Bar Council, educationists, and leaders of the central traders’ organization, were also present.
Leaders of political and religious parties, journalists, and officials of the Peoples Party participated along with a large number of workers, relatives, and friends.
After the funeral prayer, she was laid to rest amidst sobs and tears in the ancestral graveyard adjacent to SL College.
Later, several prominent figures, including MNA Mir Munawar Ali Khan Talpur, Mir Allah Dad Talpur, and PPP City President Pir Izzat Hussain Shah Jilani, visited Mayor Abdul Rauf Ghori’s residence to offer their personal condolences and pray for the deceased.
