Mehterzai calls for meeting teachers’ demand

QUETTA: Malik Amanullah Mehterzai, central President, Mutahida Qabail Federation, said Thursday that he would bring the grievances of Government Teachers Association (Aaeeni) into the notice of higher authorities for redressal.

These views were expressed by him during his visit to the protest camp of GTAA strikers set up outside Quetta Press Club to express solidarity with them. He said that teachers had a respectable position in our society, adding, “It becomes the responsibility of authorities to redress the grievances of teachers.” Expressing solidarity with the hunger strikers.

On the occasion, former Nazims Sarwar Bazai, Mir Aslam Rind, political and religious personality Abdul Mateen Akhunzada and others were also present. It is pertinent to mention that leaders and workers of GTAA, including Haji Mujeebullah Gharsheen, Muhammad Naeem Kakar, Inayatullah Kakar, Muhammad Nasir Mengal, Qasim Khan Achakzai, Haji Saeed Ahmed Nasar, Mir Ahmed Shah Bangulzai and Manzoor Rahi Baloch, had been observing hunger strike unto death since August 08, 2022 in the protest camp set up outside Quetta Press Club.
