Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Senator Shibli Faraz has said the coronavirus cases have been declining due to smart lockdown strategy being implemented across the country to stem the spread of coronavirus.
Addressing a ceremony here on Saturday, he thanked and appreciated the general public for joining hands with the government following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet the global pandemic. He said smart lockdown strategy is being adopted by many countries in the world. He also appreciated the critical role of doctors, nurses and other paramedical staff who are caring corona patients in hospitals and isolation centers across the country.
Shibli Faraz said the government worked hard during this ongoing pandemic and efforts have been taken to increase testing capacity in the country. He said the number of testing laboratories has been increased to 129 from 2. He said ventilators are being produced in Pakistan by Ministry of Science and Technology.
