Minor fluctuations in foreign exchange rates

Minor fluctuations were observed in foreign exchange rates in Karachi’s open market on Monday, while overall rates mostly remained stable.

A slight change was observed in the US dollar, recorded at 278.88 rupees for buying and 279.64 rupees for selling. This is a slight increase compared to July 11, when it was 278.85 rupees for buying and 279.52 rupees for selling.

Similarly, a slight decrease was observed in the euro, which was 319.14 rupees for buying and 322.08 rupees for selling, while in the previous report it was 319.36 rupees for buying and 322.47 rupees for selling.

The British pound was priced at 374.27 rupees for buying and 377.57 rupees for selling. This is a slight decrease from its previous rates, which were 374.70 rupees for buying and 378.15 rupees for selling.

In the case of the Japanese yen, the buying price was noted at 1.72 rupees, while the selling price remained stable at 1.78 rupees. Previously, it was available for 1.71 rupees for buying.

Among Gulf currencies, the Emirati dirham was 76.14 rupees for buying and 76.71 rupees for selling, indicating a slight decrease from its previous rates of 76.15 rupees for buying and 76.72 rupees for selling.

A minor adjustment occurred in the Saudi riyal, which was 74.53 rupees for buying and 75.06 rupees for selling, while on July 11, it was 74.55 rupees for buying and 75.05 rupees for selling.

Meanwhile, the interbank market closed the US dollar at 278.02 rupees for buying and 278.22 rupees for selling, maintaining a measure of stability in the currency’s performance.
