Mirpurkhas: Gas explosion injures 7, including 5 women and children

Seven people were injured in a devastating gas explosion at a residence in the Hameed Pura Colony of Mirpurkhas. Law enforcement agencies responded promptly, transferring the victims to a local medical center, while firefighters extinguished the blaze.

The explosion, caused by a gas leak at the home of Master Yousuf, son of Bashir Basharti, significantly damaged the roof, windows, and furniture of the house. Seven individuals present inside, including three women, two men, and two children, sustained injuries.

Two of the injured are in critical condition and have been shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad for specialized treatment. Local authorities, including ASI Abbas Ali Abbasi, UC Chairman Shafiq Ahmed, and Vice Chairman Aftab Ahmed, along with neighbors, assisted in transporting the victims to the hospital.

Mayor Abdul Rauf Ghori immediately visited the medical center to inquire about the well-being of the injured and directed the staff to ensure the best possible care. Authorities and rescue teams are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The explosion caused significant structural damage to the house.
