Srinagar, February 12, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has paid glowing tributes to the supreme sacrifice of prominent Kashmiri liberation leader, Muhammad Maqbool Butt. India had hanged Muhammad Maqbool Butt in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail on 11th February in 1984.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The sacrifices of our brave-hearts are our guiding light to stay steadfast and patient in our just struggle for the achievements of the right to self-determination.” Meanwhile, the forum spokesman in a statement in Srinagar condemned the continued house detention of its Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and arrest of Hurriyat leader, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and imposing severe restrictions in Srinagar and north Kashmir.
