A mob of citizens beat an alleged robber after catching him on Tuesday in the North Karachi area. The man was later handed over to law enforcement officials with injuries sustained in the incident.
Authorities identified the captured individual as 35-year-old Arbel, son of Haji Umar. An accomplice of the suspect managed to escape.
The incident occurred near Zahid Sweets in Sector 5-B, where the mob handed over the suspect to the police who arrived at the scene. Authorities also seized a pistol and a motorcycle from the scene.
The injured suspect has been moved to a medical facility for treatment. Police officials have confirmed that a formal investigation into the matter has been launched.
