The first two weeks of the Hajj registration campaign saw an overwhelming response as more than 232,000 individuals completed their applications online for next year’s Hajj.
Using the ‘Pak Hajj’ mobile application and the online Hajj portal managed by the National Information Technology Board, registrants completed their applications from the comfort of their homes, confirmed by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
According to the statistics released today, the majority of 175,000 applicants opted for the government Hajj scheme, while approximately 58,000 chose to register under private arrangements.
In terms of gender distribution, the data revealed that 136,000 men and approximately 96,000 women submitted their applications, representing a diverse group of participants eager to undertake this spiritual journey.
This digital method of managing Hajj registration marks a significant step in streamlining the process, reflecting both technological advancements and the growing interest in religious pilgrimage.
