Most areas of the country are expected to remain hot and humid today, with forecasts of strong winds and thunderstorms in Kashmir and the northern regions

The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast today that the intense heat and humidity will persist in most parts of the country, especially in the plains where extreme heat is likely to be faced.

During the evening and night, a change in weather conditions is expected, with possibly strong winds and thunderstorms in some areas, including Kashmir, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern Punjab, and the Pothohar region.

This morning, the temperature in Islamabad, Karachi, and Peshawar was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Lahore was slightly higher at 32 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, in Quetta, it was 23 degrees, in Gilgit 24 degrees, in Murree 18 degrees, and in Muzaffarabad 28 degrees Celsius.

Residents of the affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions due to the severe heat conditions and are particularly urged to stay informed about weather conditions regarding the expected thunderstorms later in the day.
