Mostly hot, dry weather across most parts of the country, thunderstorm predicted in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir

The Meteorological Department has predicted that most areas of the country will experience primarily hot and dry conditions, while the plains will face intense heat in the coming days.

According to today’s weather forecast, areas such as Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, upper and southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and upper and northeastern Punjab may experience rain with strong winds and thunder during the evening and night.

Today’s temperature readings from major cities show that Islamabad recorded 24 degrees Celsius, while Lahore experienced a hot weather of 32 degrees Celsius. Karachi noted a temperature of 31 degrees Celsius, and Peshawar recorded 27 degrees Celsius. Cool environments were observed in Quetta at 22 degrees Celsius, Gilgit at 19 degrees Celsius, Murree at 17 degrees Celsius, and Muzaffarabad at 23 degrees Celsius.

The expected weather conditions highlight the need for residents of affected areas to prepare for the heatwave while also emphasizing staying informed about potential evening storms.
