KARACHI:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice President and leader of parliamentary party in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh has said that the PTI would win by-polls in Sindh, as the PPP has already been facing downfall due to its corruption and not serving the people of Sindh.
Addressing a press conference here at the Junejo House flanked by PTI leaders Haji Nisar Arain, Mushtaq Junejo and others, Sheikh said late Jam Madad Ali was his good friend and he prayed for the departed soul. He said that on PS-43, ‘we are not contesting against the Jam family but we are contesting against the PPP’. He said Jam Madad Ali was not given power in this constituency and the real ‘chief minister’ of this area was Shazia Mari.
He said this region of Sanghar belongs to the brave Hurs who had fought the war of independence. He said the PTI had nominated Mushtaq Junejo on PS-43 who would defeat the local mafias. Adil said the PTI would win the by-polls as the downfall of the PPP had already begun. He said all anti-PPP vote would go to the PTI.
He said here the worker of Imran Khan would defeat the candidate of the Zardari League. He said ‘due to the Papa Daddy Maulana Bachao Movement’, the credibility of those parties had already been affected.
He said Maulana by giving statement against army had also committed an act of treason. He said those politicians were not serving Islam and nor the religion. He said Maulana had obtained the contract of a rent-a-Dharna from the PPP and PML-N. He said Imran Khan would never give an NRO to these people.
Adil said: “Our country is strong because our brave army is strong; otherwise, we would have to face the fate of weak countries like Iraq. It is learnt that anti-Pakistan elements are funding the Maulana.”
He said after the Lahore rally, the PDM had lost its credibility. He said if they had courage, they should submit their resignations to the speaker. He said Imran Khan was not afraid of their so-called resignations. He said Muhammad Ali Durani had nothing to do with the government. He said the PDM demanded an NRO in shape of amendments in the NAB law. He said if those amendments were approved then all big thieves would go free.
Adil said that Bilawal knows that he would not hold a march but a quick march. He said the PPP government had failed to rehabilitate the affectees of rains despite passage of four months. He said we will knock the doors of court to know where the huge funds of Rs4billion meant for assistance to the rain-hit people went. He said Imran Khan have more than Rs80billion to the people of Sindh during coronavirus pandemic.
He said: “If Bilawal goes to Islamabad for protest, we will hold protest in every district of Sindh to highlight the sufferings of the people.” He alleged during last 13 years the PPP rulers had committed corruption of more than Rs12,000 billion. He said after the 18th amendment all funds to the Bilawal House via CM House and Sindh finance department. He said this amendment gave no benefit to the people of Sindh.
He said Sanghar was neglected and they would make the rulers accountable for this. He said the deputy commissioner was not spending the gas royalty funds on welfare of local people. He said Mushtaq Junejo is the son of a Hari and people should give him vote. He said they would also win the by-polls of Malir.
He said the government hospitals of Sindh were not treating patients but referring them to other hospitals instead. He said giving relief was the responsibility of the government, but the deputy commissioners were playing the role of slaves of ruling politicians.
