Severe power load shedding in several areas of Karachi prompted a delegation from MQM Pakistan to contact Karachi Electric officials today, aiming to secure immediate relief for affected residents.
The delegation, led by central leader Zahid Mansoori, visited Karachi Electric’s regional head office. Key members included Burns Road Town Incharge Irfanullah Khan, and Town representatives Afzal Qureshi and Imran Chishti.
They met with Regional Head Faisal Khan and IBC GM President Abdul Quddoos, where they presented the severe difficulties faced by the public due to prolonged power outages and unannounced load shedding. Specific areas included Jamia Cloth, Akbar Road, and City Railway Colony.
In response, Mr. Khan assured the visiting representatives that steps would be taken to reduce the duration of scheduled power outages and promptly resolve consumer complaints. He further assured that efforts would be made to minimize the burden of additional billing and unannounced power outages for consumers wherever possible.
Mr. Mansoori and Mr. Khan thanked them for the commitment made to resolve these issues. They highlighted the importance of mutual cooperation and understanding for effectively addressing public complaints related to power supply.
