Murder of Newlywed Couple in Balochistan a Tragic Incident: PDP

Pasban Democratic Party Vice Chairman Khalil Ahmed Thand questioned the future of the feudal system in Pakistan. He condemned the murder of a newlywed couple in Balochistan for marrying out of choice, calling it a tragic incident. He criticized the private judicial system and questioned the role of the judiciary.

Khalil Ahmed Thand said that Karo-Kari has no religious basis and condemned Pakistan’s dual legal structure where poor people are victims of a brutal and disorganized system. He questioned what arrangements are in place to protect ordinary citizens from oppression. He said that it is necessary to end the ancient feudal system for the development of the country.

Khalil Ahmed Thand expressed regret over the increasing corruption and injustice in the country and questioned when this era of problems will end. He accused the privileged feudal lords during the British era of treason against Pakistan.

Expressing grief over the murder of the couple at the behest of a local feudal lord in Balochistan, Khalil Ahmed Thand questioned the government’s authority. He criticized the parallel administration run by feudal lords, tribal chiefs, and landlords where even the federal government has no influence. He described how local police and officials serve these influential figures, rendering Pakistani law ineffective in their areas. He questioned the involvement of the ruling elite in this oppressive system and demanded an end to the feudal culture which he believes has damaged Pakistan’s global reputation and hindered its development.
