Murree’s temperature drops below freezing, weather cold and dry in most parts of the country

A severe cold wave continues across the country, with the temperature in Murree dropping to minus one degree Celsius this morning, while the weather remains cold and dry in most parts of the country.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain cold and dry in most areas of the country.

However, a change is expected in some northern areas. In the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Galiyat, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall with partly cloudy skies.

Temperatures recorded in major cities this morning reflected the nationwide cold. Islamabad recorded seven degrees Celsius, while Lahore and Peshawar both recorded nine degrees Celsius.

The morning in Karachi was relatively mild, with a temperature of sixteen degrees Celsius. In the colder regions, the mercury was at two degrees Celsius in Quetta and Gilgit, while Muzaffarabad was at five degrees Celsius.

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, rain and snowfall with cloudy skies are forecast in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla. Partly cloudy skies and a chance of rain are expected in Jammu.
