Islamabad, October 16, 2018 (PPI-OT): Honourable Justice Mr. Javed Iqbal Chairman NAB chaired a meeting to review performance of NAB at NAB headquarters. He said that NAB is apex anticorruption organization of the country to eradicate corruption and to recover looted from corrupt and bring them to justice as per law. He said that NAB is absolutely determined to make Pakistan corruption free with iron hands as NAB strongly believes in Accountability for All. He said that NAB has geared up to come up to the expectations of the nation and perfected its procedures by adopting proactive Anti-Corruption Strategy by adopting zero tolerance policy against corruption across the board.
He said that under Zero Tolerance Policy, he has directed all NAB’s Regional Bureaus and NAB Headquarters to nab culprit, proclaimed offenders and absconders and bring them to justice as per law. He said that NAB is the only Anti-Corruption Organization who has prescribed ten (10) months period completing inquiry to investigation and investigation to filing of corruption reference in the respective Accountability Court.
He said that NAB has also established Combined Investigation Team (CIT) which had not only helped improving work standards of inquiry and investigations but also makes sure that nobody could influence. He said that NAB has established state of the art forensic laboratory in Islamabad which is helping in strengthening evidence as well as investigations. The major purpose of NAB’s Forensic Science LAB is to meet present day needs which also help enduring secrecy and saving time.
Honourable Justice Mr. Javed Iqbal Chairman NAB said that early return of hard earned looted money of people is top most priority of NAB. NAB is committed to return looted money of people from illegal Housing/Cooperative Housing Societies and Mudarba/Musharka scams etc. He said that CDA, RDA, ICT, LDA, PDA, QDA and KDA officers/officials must ensure completion of all codal formalities in approval of lay out plan and issuance of NOC to Housing Societies/Cooperative Housing Societies as per law. He asked people to have complete information about Housing/Cooperative Societies so that they should always invest in Legal Housing/Cooperative Societies having NOC and lay out plan approved from the concerned government authorities.
