Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences (BUMHS), Quetta, hosted the opening ceremony of the NAHE-HEC sponsored Professional Development Training Program for university management staff from BPS-17 and 18 across Pakistan.
The program, organized by the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), aims to enhance the professional skills of management staff in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The inaugural session was attended by Prof Dr Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director of NAHE, as the Guest of Honor, and Prof Dr Shabir Ahmed Lehri, Vice-Chancellor of BUMHS, as the Chief Guest. The event was also graced by notable dignitaries, including Prof Dr Farida Kakar, Pro Vice-Chancellor of BUMHS, Syed Aurangzeb, Registrar BUMHS, and others.
Mr Lehri emphasized the importance of professional development in fostering leadership, enhancing financial and communication skills, and improving decision-making. He reaffirmed BUMHS’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote excellence in higher education management.
In her keynote address, Prof Dr Noor Amna Malik commended BUMHS for hosting the training program and reaffirmed NAHE’s mission to empower management professionals. She highlighted the role of such initiatives in advancing quality education and contributing to sustainable development.
The program, scheduled from December 10 to 14, 2024, includes sessions on interpersonal communication, financial management, procurement ethics, and leadership skills. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of the organizing team and setting the stage for a week of impactful learning.
