Nation progress linked to following Quaid’s principles

ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly, Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker, Qasim Khan Suri have said that Quaid-e-Azam visioned Pakistan as democratic welfare state where people could live with peace, love, fraternity and harmony.

He also desired that every citizen should have equal opportunities of education, health, progress and justice. They expressed these views in their separate messages to the Nation on 73rd Death Anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Speaker paid glowing tribute to Quaid-e-Azam struggle for freedom and said that it was through his untiring leadership and unwavering commitment to the values of unity, faith, and discipline that the Quaid-e-Azam overcame all odds in establishing an independent homeland for the Muslims, where they could lead their lifes as a progressive and dynamic people.

He said that the Quaid’s achievement was a unique event in the history of World as it was characterized by non-violence and strict adherence to principles. He also said that Quaid-e-Azam remained firm in the face of adversity, never compromised on principles or allowed expediency to influence his judgment,” the speaker added.

The speaker said that best tribute which we can pay to the Father of the nation is allegiance to principles which he espoused vigorously and the values which he promoted consistently in his career. His death anniversary calls for commitment to complete Quaid’s mission of consolidating Pakistan and ensuring its stability.

On this occasion, Deputy Speaker Muhammad Qasim Khan Suri said that we should not forget his unmatched qualities of leadership, which included impeccable integrity, incorruptibility and a truly remarkable capacity for hard work, the Deputy Speaker remarked ” I am confident that on this day we would come up to the expectations of our great Quaid and pledge to extend all possible efforts to overcome the challenges confronting the nation and turn them into opportunity to make Pakistan a better and strong country”.
