Islamabad, October 07, 2021 (PPI-OT):15th meeting of the Standing Committee on Privatization was held under the Chairmanship of Syed Mustafa Mahmud, MNA, at 2:00 p.m. in Conference Room of Privatization Division, Kohsar Block, Pak-Secretariat, and Islamabad.
The Committee recommended that the Advisor to Prime Minister on Ministry of Commerce may brief the Committee regarding the privatization of State Life Insurance Corporation (SLIC). The Committee was informed that after the approval of proposed amendments in the law, the process of privatization would be completed. The Committee decided that the issue of privatization of Services International Hotel, Lahore will be discussed, further, after the decision of the Cabinet.
MNAs, Mr. Khurram Shahzad, Mr. Muhammad Ameer Sultan, Mr. Faheem Khan, Ms. Shandana Gulzar Khan, Ms. Syma Nadeem, Mr. Muhammad Hashim, Mr. Mukhtar Ahmad Malik, Ch. Muhammad Shahbaz Babar, Dr. Aisha Ghaus Pasha, Ms. Seema Mohiuddin Jameeli, Syed Hussain Tariq, Mr. Sikandar Ali Rahoupoto, and senior officers/officials from the Ministry of Privatization attended the meeting, besides the Management of Services International Hotel, and SLIC.
