A stunning victory by a local government school in a district-wide national song competition held on Wednesday has drawn attention to the hidden talents of students, while school officials say the lack of facilities is the biggest obstacle to achieving further great success in academic and extracurricular activities.

During the ongoing extracurricular competitions among government institutions across Abbottabad district, students of Government High School Moolia, Circle Bakot, secured the first position in the national songs category.

The winning team, which included Abdul Hadi Mohsin, Momin Fazal-ur-Rehman, Faizan Nisar, and Shayan Faiz, showcased their winning performance at Government High School No. 2, Abbottabad.

Speaking on this achievement, the teacher in-charge of the school, Afriqa Abbasi, emphasized the students’ abilities. He said, “If our students are provided with facilities, they are second to none in sports and education. They have proven their mettle in every field.”

After the victory, the students and their teacher were welcomed at the local press club and bar club, where figures including Sardar Haseeb Abbasi Advocate congratulated them on this outstanding performance.
