Lahore, November 23, 2018 (PPI-OT): Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar has said that national hockey team is determined to offer excellent performance in the upcoming hockey World Cup tournament; he said this while talking to media during his visit to training camp of national hockey team at Mini Hockey Stadium on Thursday. National hockey team will depart for India on Saturday to take part in World Cup.
Team Manager Hasan Sardar and head coach Tauqeer Dar warmly received the DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar upon reaching the Mini Hockey Stadium. They also presented a T-shirt and hockey stick signed by members of national hockey team to DG Sports Punjab. The members of national hockey team were also introduced with DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar.
Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar said the players of national hockey team are doing hard work under the supervision of top coaches. “Sports Board Punjab has always extended every kind of support for the promotion of hockey in the country. We will continue this practice in future as well,” he opined. DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar said the entire nation is praying for the success of national hockey team in the grand hockey World Cup tournament.
