The Higher Education Commission has initiated a significant digital transformation of the nation’s public universities through the rollout of an integrated automation suite named MAKTAB, which has already been implemented in twenty-five institutions.
Minister of State for Education, Wajiha Qamar, announced during a news conference that the new system is designed to uplift the core academic, administrative, and financial functions of higher education establishments, according to a report by MOIB today.
This technological advancement is part of a wider government endeavour to enhance the quality of education, the minister stated.
Ms Qamar confirmed plans for MAKTAB to be introduced in all public sector universities. She further noted that the government”s efforts also include the improvement of digital and other essential infrastructure within educational institutions.
