BADIN: Oil exploration company United Energy has discovered a new oil reserve in village Mulla Hassan near Khorwah in district Badin, PPI learnt Thursday. The company has started digging an oil well at the new discovery site. It may be noted that 15 oil and gas wells have already been producing oil and gas in this region of Badin district.
The residents of area, Akbar Turk and Noor Mohammad, informed that their area had been producing oil and gas worth hundreds of millions of rupees for the country on daily basis, but they had been deprived of their basic amenities of life including roads, schools, hospitals and drinking water, which was a great injustice with them.
The residents said that they had submitted multiple applications with the Deputy Commissioner Badin for community development and new schemes of drinking water, construction of roads, hospitals, and schools in their area, but their applications had been turned down.
They appealed to Sindh Chief Minister, Chief Justice of Sindh, and other authorities to provide them development schemes from the bonus and quality premium amount being provided by the oil exploration companies.
