New Phase of e-Rozgaar Program receives 22396 applications

Lahore, November 06, 2018 (PPI-OT): The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports joint project “e-Rozgaar Program”, for graduates for free training for earning through the internet and taking freelancing as a serious profession has received remarkable response and received 22396 applications from various areas of the Punjab province. The applications were invited for 21 districts and 27 centers in the province of the Punjab for intake of the new batch, which will commence in the first week of December.

The breakup of the received 22396 applications show that 14857 male and 7539 female graduates applied for this program. The further training areas breakup of the applications indicates that 10446 nontechnical, 7786 technical and 4164 applied for Creative Design. The Degree level of the applicants include B. TECH (HONS) 454, Bachelors ($ years) 12, 176, Masters 8854, M. Phil 904 and Eight PhD. Since the inception of the program 78,896 have applied on e-Rozgaar portal.

So far, 3549 have been graduated among them 1866 male 1683 female have successfully passed out the training and during training earned online foreign exchange equivalent to more than six Crore 25 Lac Pak Rupees in 27 centers operational across the province of the Punjab in various universities and educational institutions with duly equipped labs, among these centers four centers are dedicated for females while the rest of 23 are co-centers where both males and females can get training.

In the next phase the applicants will be shortlisted in accordance with the eligibility criteria, which includes that the applicant should be Punjab domicile holder, maximum age: 35 years, at least 16 years of education, unemployed and according to the marks obtained in online test. The shortlisted candidates will be given three-and-a-half-month free training in their selected domain by master trainers at their selected centers. The candidates were asked to select one domain among three domains, which include Technical, Content Marketing and Advertising and Creative Designing.
