New Visa Center in Karachi to Bolster Pakistan-UAE Trade as Partnership Reaches New Heights

A newly established Visa Facilitation Center in Karachi is set to resolve significant visa acquisition challenges for the business community, a move announced as bilateral trade and investment between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates reach “historic levels”.

According to Diwan Fakhruddin, Chairman of the FPCCI UAE Business Council’s information today on the eve of UAE National Day. Mr Fakhruddin praised the initiative as a commendable step that will effectively facilitate business activities and further enhance economic relations. He extended sincere gratitude to the UAE Consul General, H.E. Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Ali Alayan Alremeithi, for establishing the center.

Fakhruddin asserted that the relationship between the two nations has evolved beyond diplomacy into a strategic partnership, evidenced by a remarkable annual increase in bilateral commerce, expanding investment opportunities, and the launch of numerous joint ventures.

He identified energy, renewable energy, construction, port infrastructure, agriculture, minerals, food security, and logistics as the core sectors of economic cooperation. The chairman noted that while investment from the UAE into Pakistan is steadily rising, Pakistani entrepreneurs are also playing an active role in the UAE’s economy.

The Pakistani community in the UAE was highlighted as a vital “diplomatic, economic, and cultural bridge” between the two countries. Fakhruddin acknowledged that Pakistani engineers, doctors, construction experts, and other professionals have not only contributed to the UAE”s development but have also strengthened Pakistan”s global reputation.

Looking toward the future, the chairman outlined excellent opportunities for mutual cooperation in emerging sectors such as the digital economy, fintech, e-commerce, green technology, and modern agriculture. He added that UAE financial institutions are actively exploring new investment prospects in Pakistan’s infrastructure, technology, and housing sectors.

Fakhruddin concluded by stating that Pakistan and the UAE share a common vision for regional stability, peace, and development, expressing confidence that bilateral relations will continue to grow stronger.

He reaffirmed his commitment to continue playing a vital role in elevating the long-standing friendly ties between the two nations to new heights.
