The newly appointed Accountant General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khalid Mahmood, met with the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, on Tuesday at the Governor House in Peshawar.
The meeting focused on financial matters and the utilization of public funds. During the meeting, the Governor congratulated Khalid Mahmood on taking on his new responsibilities and expressed his best wishes for him. The recent mega scandal of financial corruption was also discussed.
Expressing concern over the scandal, the Governor stated that the financial scandal involving billions of rupees raises questions about transparency in the province’s financial affairs. He emphasized the need for bringing those involved in the scandal to justice.
The Governor also stressed the importance of the Accountant General Office playing a significant role in establishing financial transparency. He stated that the wastage of national wealth is intolerable. Additional Accountant General SaifulIslam was also present at the meeting.
