QUETTA: No-confidence-motion moved against Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo in Balochistan Provincial Assembly was rejected at initial stage on Thursday as former Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan Alyani, MPA Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind and other like minded members of Balochistan Provincial Assembly failed to show the support of required numbers of the members of Balochistan Provincial Assembly.
According to detail, no-confidence-motion against Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo was tabled by MPA Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi. According to laid down procedure prescribed for tabling no-confidence motion, support of twenty percent out of 65 members of the Assembly, that is 13, was essential, however, when no-confidence-motion was tabled by MPA Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi before the session, only 11 members of the Assembly stood from their seats to support the motion. Acting Speaker, Sardar Babar Khan Musakhail rejected the resolution owing to lack of majority. Harsh words were exchanged between Minister for Agriculture, Mir Asadullah Baloch and MPA Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind.
Taking the floor on a point of order, MPA Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi said that a few contractors had played a role to form the present government of the province, adding that the the aim of the said person, who had invested to form the government in the province, was not in the interest of the people of Balochistan. “I was the part of that sin but when reality divulged, I tendered resignation from the cabinet”, said Buledi. During the speech of Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, MPA Muki Sham Lal of JUI (F) pointed out the quorum. Later on, Sardar Babar Musakhail, Acting Speaker, Balochistan Provincial Assembly adjourned the session.
Separately, former Chief Minister Balochistan and President, Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), Jam Kamal Khan Alyani tweeted on his Twitter Account, “Alhamdulillah we stood against a poor and corrupted government. Astonishing to see how opposition and PDM factor supported them, pointed Quorum and clapped. This resolution shall answer a lot questions in Balochistan and at federal level”.
