No gazetted TEO male primary in Larkana since ten months

LARKANA: The post of Taluka Education Officer (TEO), Male, Primary, Larkana, is still vacant since 31.12.2021 when the previous TEO retired from government service which has not yet been filled despite passage of about ten months.

This was stated by Irshad Ali Tunio, President, Primary Teachers Association (PTA), Larkana City while addressing a meeting of the PTA taluka body held under his chairmanship here on Tuesday.

He said that in a letter dated 18th June, 2022, education department secretary Ghulam Akbar Leghari directed that no teacher will be posted as focal person, data collector or on any other post in the office and if anyone violated this instruction, strict action will be taken against the said officer but corrupt mafia and bureaucrats of Larkana education department have established “rule of focal persons” against which no action has so far been taken.

Citing the example, he said that Mumtaz Ali Soomro is posted as HST at Lower Secondary School, Nazar Muhalla, but he has been unlawfully posted as focal person male primary, Larkana, which is sheer violation of standing orders of the secretary.

He further alleged that Mumtaz Soomro who himself is illegally posted has posted his three focal persons which include Niaz Jagirani, HST, Middle School, Phull, Munwar Ali Kalhoro, PST, Government Boys Primary School (GBPS), Saeendad Mugheri and third Gada Hussain Harya, PST, GBPS, Muhammadi Colony, Larkana, but nobody has so far taken any notice of this open and daring violation. He said the education secretary had directed to remove focal persons but his direction has been thrown into the dust bin as the same focal persons are still continuing without any lawful authority.

He urged the education secretary to take notice and post a full-fledged TEO of BPS-17 without further loss of time so that merit could be established, education and the future of the students could be saved.

Meeting was also attended by Ashfaque Dhamrah, Sajad Bhutto, Talib Mughal, Paryal Kalhoro, Naseer Mugheri, Jan Muhammad Mangi, Ayaz Shaikh, Athar Dayo and others.
