No more political interference in Punjab departments: CM Buzdar

LAHORE:  Officers have been given full freedom during their official duties, as they will neither face political interference nor political pressure.

This was stated by Chief Minister Punjab, Usman Buzdar, in a statement. He further said that for the first time in Punjab’s history the appointment of the officers had been made on merit. The culture of nepotism and recommendation had been stamped out.

Former rulers brought the culture of personal likes and dislikes and this damaged the self-esteem of some officers publicly, Buzdar said. “Our government valued the hardworking, honest and dedicated officers toward the people and the country.” said Buzdar

“There is no political pressure on the officers in our era. Political interference in departments has also been ended. We will continue to encourage the officers who work hard in the service of the people,” said CM Buzdar.
