No one allowed to meet Mushtaq, Tawheedi in Haryana jail

Srinagar, December 10, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the relatives of illegally detained Hurriyat leader, Mushtaqul Islam, have said that jail authorities at Jhajjar in Haryana, India, are not allowing anyone to meet Mushtaq. Mushtaqul Islam was recently shifted from Kot Bhalwala jail in Jammu to Haryana’ Jhajjar jail. The relatives told media in Srinagar that they arrived in Haryana to meet Mushtaq, but jail authorities refused them any meeting. Even, warm clothes and fruits were not allowed to reach the detained leader.

Muslim Political League in a statement strongly condemned the continued shifting of its Chairman, Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi from one jail to another. Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi was first shifted from Kotbhalwal jail in Jammu to Karnal jail in Haryana. Now, he has been shifted from Karnal to to Jhajjar jail. The authorities have placed a strict bar on meeting with Mushtaq and Tawheedi in the jail.

Meanwhile, Muslim Khawateen Markaz Chairperson, Yasmeen Raja in a statement said that Kashmiri people were illegally detained in jails in and outside Jammu and Kashmir. She said that Indian forces were targeting innocent people of Kashmir including children and women with pellets and bullets.
