Northern Balochistan Braces for Very Cold Nights Amid Province-Wide Chill

Northern districts of Balochistan are set to experience very cold conditions during night and morning hours over the next two days, the Meteorological Department”s Quetta Regional Centre announced on Friday.

According to an official report today, for the immediate 24-hour period, a forecast of mainly cold and partly cloudy weather has been issued for the majority of the province. The northern areas, however, are singled out for particularly chilly night and morning temperatures.

This weather pattern is anticipated to persist, with the 48-hour outlook mirroring the initial forecast, indicating a sustained period of cold and partly cloudy skies across most of Balochistan.

A review of the preceding 24 hours revealed that the region remained dry, with no rainfall recorded throughout the province.

Temperature readings from the last day highlighted a significant variation across Balochistan. Kalat registered the lowest temperature at a brisk 2.0°C, while Uthal experienced a considerably warmer high of 31.7°C.

In the capital, Quetta, temperatures fluctuated between 4.0°C and 17.5°C across its various monitoring stations. Other notable lows included Zhob at 5.5°C, while coastal and southern areas such as Labella (31.0°C), Turbat (29.5°C), and Pasni (29.0°C) recorded some of the highest temperatures.
