Notification of official rate issued in view of rising sugar price in Khairpur

In view of the rising sugar prices and public distress in Khairpur, according to a notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Fayyaz Hussain Rahojo, sugar prices in the district will gradually increase during the next three months. The new prices will be effective in stages from July 15.

From July 15 to August 14, 2025, wholesalers will be able to sell sugar at Rs 167 per kilogram, while the retail price has been fixed at Rs 169 per kilogram.

In the following months, there will be an increase of two rupees per kilogram at both wholesale and retail levels. From August 15 to September 14, wholesale prices will be Rs 169 and retail Rs 171.

A similar increase will apply from September 15 to October 14, bringing the wholesale price to Rs 171 and retail to Rs 173.

Finally, from October 15, sugar will be available at a wholesale rate of Rs 173 and a retail rate of Rs 175 per kilogram.

Mr. Rahojo has directed all Assistant Commissioners, Magistrates, and Assistant Director Bureau of Supply to enforce these fixed prices in the district. Authorities will monitor traders to ensure implementation of the new price structure.
