Notorious dacoit Tanveer, with a head money of ten million, surrendered with his accomplice during an operation in Punjab’s kacha area

In a major breakthrough for law enforcement agencies, notorious ringleader of the Andhar gang and most-wanted dacoit of the kacha area, Tanveer Andhar, surrendered today. The ringleader, with a bounty of ten million rupees, gave himself up to the authorities along with his accomplice Zafri Jabheel during the ongoing security operation.

The notorious dacoit was wanted in 45 serious criminal cases, including the Multan Motorway attack and involvement in the martyrdom of five police officials.

The surrender marks a significant turning point in the Punjab Police’s large-scale ongoing Kacha Operation. So far, the security action has resulted in 69 dacoits being killed and 97 arrested in an injured state. The total number of dacoits who have turned themselves in to the authorities has reached 229.

Inspector General of Punjab Police, Abdul Karim, praised the Rahim Yar Khan police for their effective actions against criminal elements in the area.

Reaffirming the commitment to legal procedures, District Police Officer Irfan Samoon stated, “Dacoits who surrender themselves to the law will be treated in accordance with the law and presented before the courts.”
