The Oil Companies Advisory Council (OCAC) has expressed gratitude to Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab for addressing critical issues at the Keamari Oil Installation Area (KOIA).
According to a statement by OCAC today, the council has commended the mayor’s leadership in driving essential repair and restoration work at the site, which has improved safety and efficiency in this vital area.
In a letter to Mayor Wahab, OCAC Secretary General Dr Syed Nazir Ali Zaidi highlighted the collaborative efforts between the mayor’s team, refineries, and Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) through OCAC.
This collaborative achievement involved an exhaustive reconciliation of ledgers spanning nearly two decades, culminating in payments of approximately Rs. 482 million toward Municipal Utility Tax Charges (MUCT). Such achievements are a reflection of the visionary and inclusive approach you bring to public service.
Dr. Zaidi further invited Mayor Wahab to visit the OCAC office to discuss enhancing collaboration between KMC, OCAC, and its member companies. The visit aims to explore opportunities for ongoing development of infrastructure and facilities crucial to the oil and gas sector in Karachi. OCAC emphasized the importance of continued focus and investment in KOIA as a strategic hub in Karachi.
