OIC chief meets African Ambassadors in Riyadh

Riyadh Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen met here on Tuesday with the ambassadors of the OIC African countries to Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, Al-Othaimeen reviewed a number of issues related to the African member states (known as the African Group), and the support and activities provided by the Organization, as well as its keenness to communicate with them. The meeting also discussed the upcoming Islamic Summit and the Council of Foreign Ministers’ Conference to be hosted by the Republic of Niger.

The Secretary General invited the ambassadors to participate in the OIC Festival, scheduled to take place in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, on April 24-27.

The meeting was attended by Director General of the OIC Cabinet/Senior Advisor Dr. Abdallah bin Mosa Altayer; Director General for Political Affairs Ambassador Tariq Bakheet; Director of Legal Department Ambassador Hassan Ali Hassan; and Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs Yousif Al-Dhubaeyi.
