Peshawar, December 07, 2018 (PPI-OT): On the directives of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salah-ud-Din Khan Mehsood Police Khuly Ketcheries are being held continuously throughout the province where effective steps are being taken for the solution of problems of the people relating to police force. According to details the IGP had directed all District Police Officers of the province to hold Khuly Ketchery at their respective headquarters regularly.
They have further been directed to hold these Ketcheries in such places where large number of people can easily participate in it and present their problems and grievances in an effective manner. In line of the directives of the IGP the District Police Officers have so far arranged 259 Khuli Ketcheries in the current year. Majority of the problems presented in the Ketcheries were solved on the spot while the rest of grievances have been sent to the concerned police officers for the report at their end at the earliest.
Thousands of people belonging to different walks of life participated in these open Ketcheries and every one was given equal opportunity to present their problems. The district wise break up of open Ketcheries are Peshawar 7, Mardan 24, Nowshera 6, Swabi 9, Charsadda 9, Swat 14, Buner 7, Shangla 15, Dir Lower 10, Dir Upper 9, Chitral 5, Kohat 13, Hangu 11, Karak 1, Bannu 6, Lakki Marwat 2, DIKhan 17, Tank 14, Abbottabad 15, Haripur 7, Mansehra 3, Battagram 15, Lower Kohistan 15, Upper Kohistan 16, Kulai Pallas Kohistan 3 and Tor Ghar 6. It may be recalled that the general public are participating in these Ketcheries in large number and presenting their problems in free atmosphere without any fear.
The IGP has also directed the police officers to fully publicise before holding these Ketcheries so that the people can be enable to participate in it in large number and present their grievances effectively. It has also been directed that the complainant who has registered their complaint in different complaint cells in the province would be especially invited in the open Ketcheries for redressal of their respective grievances.
They have also been directed to ensure fool proof security at every cast to the participants of the Ketcheries. Likewise they have also been directed to make video recording of each and every Ketchery. The minutes of these open ketcheri are being prepared in black and white for the record. All these Khuli Ketcheries are being monitored from the CPO.
