In a robust move to curb illegal commercial activities, Deputy Commissioner Thatta, Sarmad Ali Bhagat, took decisive action in Gharo on Sunday.
Under the close supervision of Assistant Commissioner Mirpur Sakro, Nabi Bakhsh Solangi, several LPG shops were immediately sealed, and a large quantity of foreign and unauthorized cigarettes was seized from various shopkeepers. The operation targeted businesses involved in overcharging, refilling gas without a license, and ignoring fire safety regulations.
Violating shopkeepers faced strict legal action. Solangi emphasized that the district administration prioritizes strict adherence to public safety and regulatory laws. He further warned that the sale of unauthorized items would result in severe penalties, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to eradicating profiteering and unsafe business practices.
These proactive inspections highlight the district’s commitment to maintaining law and order, protecting community welfare, and ensuring compliance with government regulations.
