One bandit killed, five abductees rescued by Khairpur police in two months

Under the leadership of SSP Toheedur Rehman Memon, the Khairpur district police conducted several operations in the last two months, killing a notorious bandit and arresting 119 others, including 18 in injured condition, in 39 police encounters and operations, besides getting five kidnapped persons released.

According to a police report, a gang of 30 robbers involved in various crimes, including robbery, theft, and kidnapping for ransom, was arrested. This group included notorious gangs involved in highway robberies, as well as motorcycle and car thefts. A large amount of stolen goods and weapons were recovered and returned to their rightful owners.

Khairpur police also apprehended a major active gang of criminals involved in motorcycle theft for the past 3-4 years across the district. From this gang, 88 stolen motorcycles were recovered, along with Rs30 lakh in cash and mobile phones. The police also recovered 25 stolen mobile phones from the street criminals.

In addition, Khairpur police arrested over 197 proclaimed offenders in various cases, including murder, attempted murder, robbery, theft, and other crimes. After judicial procedures, these criminals were sent to jail. Moreover, 207 fugitives, including those wanted for serious crimes, were also arrested. Authorities seized four rifles, one Kalashnikov, four shotguns, four pistols, and 68 rounds of ammunition from these individuals.

A major crackdown was also conducted against social crimes, with police raids leading to the arrest of 44 gamblers and 187 drug dealers. From these operations, 54.9 kg of hashish, 80.26 kg of Bhang, 55,860 betel nuts, 750 kg of high-quality chili powder, 346 cigarette cartons, 105 bottles of alcohol, and 25 liters of local liquor were seized.

In addition to this, 21 buffaloes, one cargo rickshaw, four cars, five tractors, 12 solar panels, and four batteries were also recovered.
