Opposition had closed main highways of province: Achakzai

QUETTA:Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai, central leader of Awami National Party and Minister for Agriculture said on Thursday that opposition had closed main highways of the province for the sake of some money.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club, he said that opposition had the previous budget halted for about eight months through court, adding that despite the fact that opposition parties remained in power for 15 to 20 years, nothing was done for the welfare of the people. He said that it was unjust to block roads and highway for some money.

He said that it was the verdict and ruling of court that funds could not be issued to anyone on priority basis. He said that the previous budget showed that equal share had been granted to members of opposition parties in Balochistan Provincial Assembly. On the occasion, Advisor to Chief Minister for Excise and Taxation, Malik Naeem Khan Bazai, MPA Shahida Kakar and others were also present.
