Karachi, July 10, 2018 (PPI-OT): Overseas Pakistani workers remitted US $19622.62 million during FY18 showing a growth of 1.4% compared with US $19351.36 million received during the same period in the preceding year. During June 2018, the inflow of worker’s remittances amounted to US $1594.41 million, compared to US $1771.21 million during May 2018. The country wise details for the month of June 2018 show that inflows from Saudi Arabia, UAE, USA, UK, GCC countries (including Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman) and EU countries amounted to US 336.61 million, US $340.55 million, US $248.79 million, US $245.10 million, US $163.53 million and US $62.14 million respectively compared with the inflow of US $438.07 million, US $414.25 million, US $265.52 million, US $252.50 million, US $232.89 million and US $56.97 million respectively in June 2017. Remittances received from Malaysia, Norway, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Japan and other countries during June 2018 amounted to US $197.69 million together as against US $180.04 million received in June 2017.
