Pakistan and Kazakhstan solidified their bilateral relations on Wednesday as Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev jointly inaugurated a series of collaborative sports and educational centres in the capital.
During a formal ceremony, the two leaders unveiled a pair of commemorative plaques, marking the official establishment of the new institutions.
One plaque was dedicated to the “Kazakhstan-Pakistan Sports Center Dostyq,” an initiative designed to bolster cooperation and exchange within the athletic domain between the two nations.
A second plaque commemorated the foundation of three distinct academic facilities, aimed at fostering greater collaboration between the educational institutions and students of the two countries.
These educational ventures, born from mutual cooperation between universities, include a technical research centre alongside the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi Research Centre and the Al-Farabi Centre.
