Pakistan Confirms Sri Lanka Tour as Final Preparation for T20 World Cup

The Pakistan men’s national team will embark on a crucial tour to Sri Lanka next month for a three-match T20 International series, a pivotal step in their build-up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

All three encounters of the series are slated to be held at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium. The matches are scheduled for January 7, 9, and 11, according to official information today.

This bilateral contest is designed to offer the squad significant match practice and an opportunity to fine-tune their strategies ahead of the global tournament commencing the following month.

For the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which runs from February 7 to March 8, Pakistan has been placed in Group “A”. The team will play all of its group-stage fixtures in Colombo, Sri Lanka, making this tour essential for acclimatising to local conditions.
