Pakistan is exploring the possibility of maintaining a portion of its national reserves in cryptocurrency, a government official stated today, noting that there are approximately twelve billion Bitcoins in global circulation.
Khurram Schehzad, Adviser to the Finance Minister, made the remarks while speaking at the 27th ITCN Asia conference, according to a report by MOIB today.
Mr Schehzad also disclosed that the government is currently formulating a new policy aimed at the empowerment of the nation’s youth.
Furthermore, the adviser confirmed that tangible steps are being implemented to support and assist the business community within the country.
