Governor Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi, has stated that Pakistan is a proponent of the principles of peace, tolerance, and interfaith harmony.

During a meeting today with the Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, at the Governor House, both discussed the promotion of national unity and mutual respect on religious lines.

Governor Hashmi emphasized the essential role of religious scholars, spiritual leaders, and various schools of thought in promoting a culture of acceptance and understanding. The dialogue focused on the need for joint efforts to foster an environment of national cohesion and fraternity.

Maulana Azad, endorsing the Governor’s views, highlighted the urgent need for interfaith harmony, stability, and peace in the country. He appreciated Governor Hashmi’s efforts to improve interfaith relations and community services.
